I’m extremely impressed with WordPress. I just finished upgrading to the latest version (2.6) and it went FLAWLESSLY. Including making a backup of the database, it only took me about 20 minutes to complete the whole process. Kudos to your WordPress for the excellent deployment system!

Do the schools teach history anymore?

There is a politician running for some office in Eaton County (where I am now a resident) whose last name happens to be Reich. Now, I don’t care about names really. I don’t buy into this whole, “Don’t vote for Barak because his middle name is Hussein” B.S. but this guy is just asking for it. On my way home from work today I saw two of his signs, both of which said in big letters at the top “Make the REICH choice” and I could not help but think…. “The Reich choice? You mean, like the Third Reich choice?” Now, I’m not saying he’s a Nazi or anything but come on… if you’re running for public office why would you promote yourself in such an exploitable way?  The only reason for this oversight I could come up with was this… he must not know about that whole World War 2 thing… that or he’s just a moron for approving a campaign based around a slogan that can so clearly be mistaken for Nazi propaganda.

Are our politicians really this stupid?
